Wotif.com and McDonalds partnership

The brief

Roll out a major partnership between wotif.com and McDonalds – with two weeks’ notice, and no handover!

The approach

There’s nothing like being thrown in the deep end, and this project sure fit the bill when it came to smashing down obstacles and achieving results!

In 2013, wotif.com was the accommodation partner for the McDonalds Big Mac Chant Challenge. I joined the wotif.com team just in the nick in time to roll out this partnership, taking the reins of this project just a few weeks before the national launch date.

I was responsible for managing all partnership activities, working closely with McDonalds and their PR and media agencies to ensure all project deliverables were achieved.

The ultimate goal was to leverage the opportunities presented by the partnership to boost wotif.com sales and raise brand awareness across Australia.

The project included the following marketing channels:

  • Landing pages
  • Print ads
  • Digital ads.

The results

  • Successfully rolled out partnership, on time and within budget
  • Maximised brand awareness opportunities for wotif.com
  • Increased revenue from accommodation bookings.
